Does Tech N9ne have another collab in the works for Something Else?

Out on the road  for a string of live performances, Tech got the chatter going on Twitter as he confirmed a phone call with Limp Bizkit frontman, Fred Durst. We can only assume it’s for collaborative purposes, but who knows? Fans may recall Fred Durst previously reached out to the Kansas City King just before the release of All 6′s And 7′s.

Whatever it was, it seems to have Tech very excited.

Fred Durst shortly responded with this, a seeming indicator of a collaborative effort in the works.

When it comes to emcees other than Tech N9ne that are quick-spitting, hyper-intricate, and actually have something to say, it’s pretty much impossible to leave R.A. The Rugged Man’s name out of that short list, so it comes as no surprise that the hip hop Gods eventually brought the two together.

On “Holla Loo Yuh” from R.A.’s recently released Legends Never Die album, Tech and Krizz join R.A. in a three-and-a-half minute burst of quickfire lyricism, a style that all three emcees are comfortable enough in to call home.

In a recent drop for R.A.’s new album, Tech shares his thoughts on New York vet’s abilities as an emcee, his overall attitude, and what it was like to work with him.

Hip hop heads around the world can only sit back, enjoy Legends Never Die, and pray to the almighty hip hop Gods that the universe brings these two explosive emcees together for…we don’t know…like, 1,000 more tracks? That’d be great.

These days it seems that everyone can take a meaning out of anything, even if it’s just not true.

For the latest example of this phenomena we turn to Tech N9ne and the song “Rock-a-bye” from his upcoming album Something Else. The song was available for download by entering the Monster Energy Tech N9ne Fan Challenge (remember to have your copy of the Strange Music Independent Powerhouse Sampler handy when entering the contest) and has since been misunderstood as a diss to Lil Wayne. Why would Tech N9ne diss the guy that blew up his name by giving him an appearance on Tha Carter IV and blessed him with one of his most memorable verses on All 6′s and 7′s is anybody’s guess, but that didn’t stop people from speculating.

Tech N9ne went on Twitter to clear the air.

Now that the record is set, please enjoy the song for what it is. The only beef we’re about is on the grill.

The man who has produced hits for the likes of Snoop Dogg, Kurupt, 50 Cent, Mobb Deep, and more has a new target in sight: Tech N9ne.

West Coast producer FredWreck is a bonafide veteran, and has worked with pretty much everyone we could ever dream of working with, and in a recent tweet he confirmed that he’s headed to KCMO to begin a session with Tech N9ne!

Of course with FredWreck coming into town on the same day as the hometown Independent Powerhouse show, we had to show him the otherworldly experience that is a KCMO Tech N9ne concert. Needless to say, he was impressed.

Talk on Twitter revealed that Tech N9ne has a guest verse on a song by Detroit underground rapper Trick-Trick.

What started with Royce Da 5’9 calling Tech N9ne a rap god to one of his fans turned into the revelation of the collaboration. The song is for Trick-Trick’s project and from what Trick-Trick and Royce Da 5’9 had to say, Tech murdered it.

Midwest and the Middle East joined forces when Tech N9ne and Yas, Iran’s biggest and most popular emcee, threw down together on wax.

Yas, the first rapper authorized to perform in Iran, has traveled from his native soil to record hip hop in the land where it all started: the USA. During his travels he stopped in Kansas City to visit the one and only Tech N9ne, who received the “Persian Tupac” with open arms.

The two legendary and dynamic emcees went into Chapman Studios and recorded a song together. Tech N9ne and Yas took to Twitter to pay mutual homage after the recording went down.

R.A. The Rugged Man’s long-awaited collaboration with Tech N9ne and Krizz Kaliko received the visual treatment recently as the New York vet touched down in the middle of the land to visit Strange Music HQ and shoot the brand new music video for “Hallelujah”, from his upcoming album Legends Never Die.

The new video features all three emcees trading camera time inside of a church while Tech N9ne dons his vintage bishop’s robe and a new beastly facepaint design.

With rhyme vets like R.A., Tech, and Kaliko all on one track, it’s time for wack emcees to bow down.

With a national tour less than a few weeks away, Tech N9ne is busy as hell with a multitude of tasks: one of them constructing a set list to satisfy the thousands of  fans that will be in attendance at The Independent Powerhouse Tour 2013.

Tech went to Twitter to actually express his frustration for what can only be the best problem to have in this scenario: too much of a good thing.

It’s not that he has too many songs, rather he’s having trouble figuring out what order they should be in. With 40 tracks of hip hop gold, song order’s a bitch.

Tech also mentioned later that Strange Music CEO Travis O’Guin told him that he should add “Dysfunctional” from Sickology 101 to his set list, which has proven to be a huge fan favorite. Tech went on to ask the fans what they thought.

Bernz and Wrekonize of ¡MAYDAY! landed in KC, MO on some official Strange Music business that involves Tech N9ne and the studio. What’s it for? We can only guess.

The pair of Miami lyricists touched down amidst the land of snow and went to Instagram to show what they were up to. Fans were able to get a glimpse of Seven working in his new office at Strangeland studios, as well as a shot of Tech N9ne and them in the studio together.

Working on what: Tech’s upcoming album, Wrek’s, or ¡MAYDAY!’s? Possibly all three.

Tech N9ne had no choice but to go on Twitter and express his uncontainable enthusiasm for Kutt Calhoun’s latest album, Black Gold. 

As it turns out, the man’s been so busy that he never got a chance to listen to the album before release date, but after giving it a spin on his high-end stereo, the Strange Music general couldn’t get enough.

Just a fair warning from Tech N9ne: this album WILL rattle the fuck out of your speakers, so be careful.
