Several Tracks On ‘The Gates Mixed Plate’ Produced By Seven [Song]

Tech N9ne’s latest installment of the “Collabos” series, The Gates Mixed Plate, features several tracks produced by Michael “Seven” Summers. Seven produced the single for the album, “O.G.”, as well as the tracks, “PU Wah Wah” and “KC Tea”.

Seven’s tracks have become a mainstay on Strange Music releases over the last five-plus years. He produced twelve tracks on Tech’s critically acclaimed, Everready: The Religion, and his production skills have been featured on every Strange Music release since. Seven’s melodic, piano and orchestra heavy tracks are always laced with clean, bangin’ drum patterns, which provide the perfect backdrop for Tech N9ne and his Strange family to weave their intricate rhyme schemes in and out of. If Strange Music’s process of creating studio albums can be compared to that of a painter creating his or her most significant work of art, then their unmistakable, progressive sound is undoubtedly the galleried masterpiece on display for Hip Hop heads, music lovers and casual listeners around the globe to circle around, critique and admire. Sticking with this comparison, lately it seems as though Seven’s tracks have been the catalyst of that signature sound, the ingredient that quickens the chemical reaction between all of the other musical components, allowing them to harden or cure properly ensuring the quality and durablity that have come to be expected when it comes to a Strange release.

The Gates Mixed Plate, Tech N9ne’s latest release, features the singles “O.G.” and “Jumpin’ Jax”.  Tech’s third release in a series of collaborative studio projects coined “Collabos”, features Devin The Dude, Glasses Malone, Jay Rock, Yukmouth and many others. The Gates Mixed Plate is available in stores now.

‘Too Many Girls’ Featuring Sundae [Song]

The Gates Mixed Plate, Tech N9ne’s latest project in the “Collabos” series, includes the track, “Too Many Girls” featuring Sundae. If the name sounds familiar, it may be because she was also featured on “Check Yo Temperature” from Tech N9ne’s solo album, K.O.D., which was released in October of ’09. Sundae also collaborated with Brotha Lynch Hung and Tech N9ne to put together a track called, “What’s Yo Psycho?” which was offered as a free Mp3 download when The Gates Mixed Plate was pre-ordered from strangemusicinc.net

Here is a message from Sundae taken from her Myspace Page:

What It Do!!!!! Its the hardest female breathin on the MIC!!!! S-U-N-D-A-E the Sabbath Day!!!!! Ask about me they”ll tell you Sundae iz the Bizness!!!! When it comes to SUNDAE I have blessed mics all around the globe. I started my RAP career in the streetz of KANSAS CITY. I’m from the Chicago/Milwaukee/Racine region. You know where HUSTLAZ are BORN!! And thatz where I got my GAME from. I have been on a host of different artist albums and compilations BUT my career took another turn when I went to Cali and hooked up with a HOTT producer by the name of FEMI. Meeting Femi brought me in a circle of known and unknown HOTT entertainers. BUT I give the up most RESPECT to MY NIGGA “BIG SYKE” thatz who put me in the GAME. When I got to Cali PAC had just died and I was in the midst of all his REAL people. I was being managed by TUPAC”s 1st manager, Leila Steinberg. From that Leila took me around the OUTLAWZ and the original THUG LIFE members and I was blessed to work on the Thug Life, THUG LAW chapter 1 album with a host of other major artist . BIG SYKE took it to another level and put me on his 1st solo project. “BIG SYKE DADDY”!!! From that day on SUNDAE became a nationwide name. Mentioned with some of the greatest is only the beginning of the blessings I received from TUPAC’s closest ROAD DOG!!!

‘Afterparty’ Featuring Devin The Dude [Song]

Tech N9ne’s latest release in the “Collabos” series, The Gates Mixed Plate, includes the track, “Afterparty” featuring Devin The Dude. Devin takes his time and rides the rhythm of the smoothed-out track provided by Emaydee, adding a change-of-pace feature for Strange Music, Tech N9ne and Kansas City Hip Hop in general. The long-awaited collaboration between Tech and Texas’ own, Devin The Dude, is an ode to the overwhelming amount of support that “The Dude” has drawn from Kansas City. With his voice and flow already made globally recognizable by Dr. Dre on The Chronic 2001, is there something special about the relationship between Devin The Dude and the Hip Hop heads of KC? The love he receives in Killa City not only makes sense geographically, but most Kansas Citians-from the urban hustler to the suburban herb enthusiast-can identify with his layed-back, weeded-out Just Tryin’ ta Live” persona.

Here is more info on Devin The Dude taken from his Wiki:

Devin Copeland (born June 4, 1970), better known by his stage name, Devin the Dude, is a Houston hip hop artist. He is best known for his unique rapping style, his long career signed to Rap-A-Lot Records, and his 2002 song “Lacville ’79“. Copeland started out as a member of the Odd Squad, later known as the Coughee Brothaz, a group of rappers signed to Rap-A-Lot Records. The label is notable for being the home of hip-hop artists such as Geto Boys, Scarface, and Too Much Trouble. Copeland moved on to become part of Scarface’s Facemob, before going solo in 1998. Copeland has released six solo albums: The Dude (1998), Just Tryin’ ta Live (2002), To tha X-Treme (2004), Waitin’ to Inhale (2007), Landing Gear (2008), and Suite 420 (2010). He also made a number of guest appearances, including on Dr. Dre’s “Fuck You” in 1999, and De La Soul’s “Baby Phat” in 2001.

In 2008, he ended his 15 year relationship with Houston based Rap-A-Lot Records because the label failed to renew his contract. Later that year, he signed with indie label Razor & Tie. Devin is currently being distributed by E1 Entertainment, formerly Koch.

Tech N9ne’s latest studio project, The Gates Mixed Plate, features five tracks produced by Emaydee, including; “Gamer”, “Harvey Dent”, “What’s Next”, “Afterparty” and “Need More Angels”. Michael “Emaydee” Dupree’s tracks had a huge sonic impact on Tech’s latest studio project. ‘Pow Pow’ Featuring Mon E.G. “The Ghostwriter” [Song]

Tech N9ne’s latest release, The Gates Mixed Plate, includes the track “Pow Pow” featuring Mon E.G “The Ghostwriter”.

Here is more info about Mon E.G. taken from his Myspace Page:

Mon E.G. “The Ghostwriter” is a true lyrical phenom representing hardcore Midwest Hip Hop. His relentless flow, strong delivery, cinematic storytelling, and real street credentials put him in a very narrow lane only occupied by the greats. His story is an authentic American Gangster tale grown from the asphalt cold streets of KCMO 61st street South Side Posse (SSP) to be exact. It’s the events and his experiences on these streets that shaped the depth of his music. One event in particular changed Mon E.G.’s life and music forever. His sister passed away in a car accident on his Birthday September 28, 2002 on 47th and Troost (killed by a drunk driver). So everything he does that pertains to music is dedicated in her name. When he hits the STAGE or when he’s in the BOOTH, everything PERIOD! If an accurate measure of an artist is how his peers feel about him, then Mon E.G. is a GIANT, he has made a strong impression on the industry already. Just check his resume he has several records featuring heavy hitters and legends like BG, Lil’ Webbie, Trick Daddy, RickRoss, Pleasure P., 8 Ball, Flo Rida, Yo Gotti, Juvenile, T. Pain, amongst others. You can askk any one of the artists that have been in the booth with Mon E.G. and they will all tell you he’s a BEAST. No matter where he goes Mon E.G. takes the SSP movement with him. Always going hard the SSP movement gained momentum and began to turn into more of a revolution. While other Midwest rappers were focusing on industry records Mon E.G. kept delivering harcore anthems and club bangers that the streets loved. Soon his music and swagger caught the attention of local and national hip hop magazines like Butter and Ozone. His hustle continued to pay off as Bigga Rankin President of Slip N Slide Street and one of the premiere mixtape DJs cosigned Mon E.G. by featuring him on his Real Nigga Radio mixtape and promoting Mon E.G. to the world. Bigga was instrumental in getting Mon E.G. a slot on one of his first big industry tours “The Hypnotized Tour 07-08″ with acts such as Rick Ross, Plies, Lil Boosie, Yo Gotti, Pleasure P., Snook the Rockstar, Crime Mob, Juvenile and more he tore down stages and connected to hundreds of thousands of new fans across the country. After their time on tour together Mon E.G. brought Yo Gotti and Rick Ross to the hood in Kansas City to shoot his video “Chevy Anthem Remix” featuring both artists. He’s the only artist from KC to bring artists of that caliber to the city for a video. Mon E.G. is interested in “One Thing” taking over the game. No more b.s. lyrics on crayon beats. this is “reality rap”. If Mon E.G. talked it he lived it….if he says it, he meant it. His sound is hard, powerful, and authentic that’s why the streets love him. People always ask him “Why do they call you ‘The Ghostwriter’?”, “Who do you write for?”. It’s not “Who” but “What”. The reason why we call him “The Ghostwriter” is because he’s been involved in, seen, and experienced so much DEATH in his life it has been a constant theme in his music. But he also has other themes that are just as compelling love, loyalty, family, struggle, success, pain, street life, determination, and confidence to mention a few. So watch out, listen out Mon E.G. “The Gostwriter” reppin’ SSP blue and Middle America is coming to a hood near you.

The Gates Mixed Plate, Tech N9ne’s latest release, features the singles “O.G.” and “Jumpin’ Jax”.  Tech’s third release in a series of collaborative studio projects coined “Collabos”, features Devin The Dude, Glasses Malone, Jay Rock, Yukmouth and many others.
