When Tech N9ne arrived in Tucson, he didn’t just bring fans a hip hop show, he brought them the ultimate Strange Music party. The Lost Cities Tour, which features Flawless, Jay Rock, Krizz Kaliko, and Kutt Calhoun, took over the Rialto Theatre in Tucson for a night of explosive performances. Jason Krell of DailyWildcat.com attended the spectacle and watched in awe as the hardest working man in hip hop put on a one of a kind show for his loyal fans. Reviewing the show, Jason wrote:
“It’s obvious Tech knows how to put on a show. His label, Strange Music, is overflowing with talent and his technicians — a nickname for his fans — are some of the most dedicated followers in music. What it boils down to, in the end, is that if you are just now discovering your fandom of Tech N9ne, you’re about 13 years too late to the party.”
As one of Tech’s biggest markets, Tucson has clearly earned its place inside Strangeland. Click here to read the full review.

While Tech N9ne rolls on with The Lost Cities Tour, the surprises keep on coming. During a recent date on the tour, Tech N9ne unexpectedly announced that he will soon be shooting an official music video for “Am I A Psycho?” with B.o.B and Hopsin. As Tech told the packed crowd, the video shoot is slated to begin on November 29, less than a month after the release of Welcome To Strangeland. Hopsin later confirmed the shoot over Facebook:
Anybody who has been to the SLO Brewing Co. (SLO Brew) in San Luis Obispo knows how awesome it is – one-third bar, one-third restaurant, and one-third concert venue – the holy trinity of an amazing night. This article, written from the perspective of Samantha Sullivan in anticipation of The Lost Cities Tour, features SLO Brew general manager Monte Schaller stating the venue as “definitely the place [for Tech N9ne] to be.” He describes how awesome it is to see and feel the energy of the fans – fans who sell-out the place and sing every word to every song – magical indeed!
Tech N9ne has been around more than a decade, and gone platinum without a major label. He’s been touring on and off since May in support of his last album All 6′s and 7′s, which was #4 on the Billboard Top 200. He’s on Tha Carter IV. Not exactly a lightweight.
In fact, he’s got another album, Welcome to Strangeland coming out on Nov. 8, his 40th birthday. But he still performs like a beast, and his sold-out show at The Roxy showcased his skills as a live performer.
During a recent stop in Austin,TX for The Lost Cities Tour, Tech N9ne dropped a bombshell on fans in attendance when he announced the official start of his K.A.B.O.S.H. project. With members of the Dirty Wormz at his side, Tech confirmed that K.A.B.O.S.H. had record its first song, “God Of War”, and that it would be released at Smackola’s discretion. “God Of War” marks the first official track to be announced from the long awaited project and it looks like things are finally in motion for a full length album.
Some of you may remember J Byrd as being the 13-year-old rapper who made a splash on YouTube with his “Green And Yellow” tribute to the Green Bay Packers, who also happens to idolize Kansas City’s one and only Tech N9ne.
J Byrd eventually got a chance to not only meet his idol but to open for him during the All 6′s and 7′s Tour stop in Green Bay. Continue reading
