Sometimes the best takes a little longer. For all of you fans waiting for your CD version of the Bad Season mixtape, we have some important news: first off, we are blown away by the number of preorders we’ve received for this CD! Thanks for showing your love for Tech N9ne and the whole Bad Season project!
Because of your amazing response, manufacturing hasn’t been able to keep up with our requests for the quantities we need to fill your orders and with Tech’s hectic schedule travelling the country recording his new album, we still want to find time to make sure he gets all of these signed for you! It pains us to have to tell you, but there will be a slight delay in getting these discs out to you – but only because we want to make sure that Strange Music keeps providing you with the best! We hope to have all these shipped from our warehouse by Monday 1/31 – you will receive an email with your tracking info once it leaves our warehouse. Thanks for your understanding and keep an eye on your mailboxes cause your autographed copy of Bad Season will be heading your way soon!

In this video clip, Tech N9ne sits in during a studio session with Bizzy as he records his verse for “Sex To The Beat” from Bad Season. Fans may also remember Bizzy from his guest appearance on “Loud” from The Gates Mixed Plate. Bizzy unleashes a rapid fire verse that leaves Tech ecstatic and visibly impressed by the young MC. Following an explosive release that broke traffic records and garnered the attention of all hip hop sites, Tech N9ne’s Bad Season has landed on XXLmag.com’s “100 Best Mixtapes Of 2010″. Bad Season comes in at no. 11, and even though it narrowly missed the top 10, it still outranks major mixtapes by artists like Bun B, Scarface, Jim Jones, and The Game. This is a monumental success for Tech N9ne on his first outing in the mixtape circuit. Here is what XXL said of Bad Season:
“On the highly anticipated first mixtape in the indie king’s 11-year solo career, Tech slightly tones down on the bizarre bars for an uncharacteristically more polished product.”
With all of the incredible feedback, perhaps this will open the doors for more Tech N9ne mixtapes. Click here for the full feature. Fans can still download Bad Season for free by clicking here.
Do you think Tech should have placed higher in the rankings? How does Bad Season compare to Tech N9ne’s other albums?

Ubiquitous and Godemis of CES Cru
For those who don’t know about CES Cru, you’re missing out. Ubiquitous and Godemis have been ripping apart the Kansas City circuit limb from limb for a minute now. Finally, after ten years of holding it down with scattershot rhymes and explosive live performances, the dynamic duo got their national stage to shine on Tech N9ne’s Bad Season mixtape. “Livin’ Like I’m Dyin’” features the two MCs on the philosophical tip peppered with the dynamic wordplay and rhythms that made CES Cru what it is today. We talked to the Kansas City wordsmiths to get their take on the mixtape and how it all came to be. Ubiquitous filled us in on the story behind their contribution on Bad Season. Continue reading
