Taken from Tech N9ne’s mixtape, Bad Season, “Curious (What Up Wit Ya Girl)” finds Tech teaming with Royce Da 5’9″ and Irv Da Phenom for another anthem dedicated to the ladies. Although the track was originally included on the Bad Season re-release back in January, HipHopDX.com has given the track a new audience by including it on their weekly list of top singles.

Also included on the list this week are singles from Lil Wayne, Adele, Crooked I, and Freeway. It looks as though even HipHopDX.com can’t let go of the sickness that is Bad Season.

Move if you want to. Tech N9ne has no problem moving his listeners with his intense and abrasive delivery. Jumping off the Bad Season is Tech N9ne’s “Move (Remix)”. The acapella, originally meant for Mims’ “Move” remix, features Tech beating on his chest to give it a genuine vintage touch. Tech gets fired up on the song and drops a lyrically twisted verse that builds the momentum of a freight train.

‘Curious (What Up With Ya Girl)’ [Song]

Two is always better than one. That’s the idea behind Tech N9ne’s “Curious (What Up With Ya Girl)”. The brand new track from Bad Season’s iTunes release features Irv Da Phenom and Royce Da 5’9″ from the supergroup Slaughterhouse. The three MC’s take turns at expressing their desire to close the deal with a girl and her friend. Tech doesn’t shy away from his love for women, as he bluntly says in the hook:

What up with ya girl, I want to enjoy
will you tell your girl, to get up with ya boy
and I’m diggin on you, but I’m still curious
you lookin at me like playin, but I’m dead serious

During one of the song’s funnier moments, Royce drops a playful line that highlights his verse:

I was taught by them eaters to double your plate
I’ma be cummin til one of you got the juggalo face

Laid out over a smooth R&B production, “Curious” is sure to be a favorite among both the ladie and the players. Voted the best out of the new songs for the Bad Season iTunes release, Speed of Sound is an acapella featuring Tech N9ne spitting one of his fastest flows of all time. Tech often says he prides himself on his clarity, and this is apparent in “Speed of Sound”, as Tech flexes his top-tier tongue precision. Originally this verse was supposed to be on a song with Bone Thugs N Harmony but was never released.

‘Losin My Mind’ [Song]

Insanity at it’s finest. The concept of going slightly crazy is nothing new to Tech N9ne. On “Losin’ My Mind” Tech opens up and writes some of the most honest lyrics featured on Bad Season.

The catchy beat bangs with loud drums and bass to match Tech’s lyrical psychosis. A catharsis of sorts, “Losin’ My Mind” allows Tech N9ne to rhyme without structure and speak his mind inside a moment of angst and confusion. Tech’s crooning over the hook says it all:

Losin my mind, yes I’m
usin’ my nine this time
or should I decline
and press rewiiiind

Tech N9ne’s Bad Season is back with even more explosive hits. The recently released mixtape has been given a new life with four brand new exclusive tracks from Tech N9ne’s vault. The new tracks are mostly made up of Tech N9ne features from past collaborations that were never released. Tech is notorious for releasing everything he makes, and this is no exception. Now that fans everywhere have checked out the new material, we would like to know what you consider to be the best new track off the Bad Season iTunes release.

Curious (What Up With Ya Girl)- This slow and seductive track teams Tech N9ne with Irv Da Phenom and Royce Da 5’9″ of Slaughterhouse. Flowing over a silky groove, each MC finds no satisfaction with just one woman.

Speed Of Sound (Acapella)- The first of three exclusive acapellas from Tech, this one is from a collaboration with the legendary hip hop collective Bone Thugs N Harmony. As Tech beats on his chest, he delivers one of the most rapid fire verses in recent memory. The energy is simply off the charts as Tech effortlessly switches his flow to finish off with a bang.

Blammers and Burners (Acapella)- Tech introduces this as a feature from a planned collaboration with Crooked I of Slaughterhouse. Tech explodes on his verse with multiple syllabic rhymes and perfect enunciation. Tech makes it clear that no one is in a position to mess with the Kansas City King.

Move Remix (Acapella)- Taken from Mims’ “Move” remix, this acapella finds Tech at home with quick and precision rhyming. The great thing about this one, is that thanks to Tech’s flow you can imagine him rhyming over the original production. Another hype verse from Tecca Nina.

Blazing off the Bad Season iTunes release, this brand new acapella sets a new bar for MCs everywhere. “Blammers And Burners” begins with a short introduction from Tech N9ne, in which he explains the origin of the verse. Originally intended to be paired with a verse from Crooked I of Slaughterhouse, the feature landed on Bad Season as an acapella with Tech’s signature chest beating.

Crooked I is known for his use of precise multi-syllabic rhyming. Such precision was showcased on his verse for Tech’s “Sickology 101″. It is no wonder then that Tech stepped up his game and delivered a verse that would make most hip hop heads take a second listen. Tech’s abrasive verse ends with a warning to all who oppose:

Hush when you rollin through KCMO, better bust so they gonna lose they people
nigga killa city, we hella for real and gritty, itty bitty you shitty, we let the straight heat go
anybody tryin to get over can never see us, put your money up by yo mouth or get beat up

‘Bad Season’ Climbs The Charts On iTunes [Social]

The latest release from Tech N9ne, Bad Season, has hit the web and again, this release ranks high on the Top Charts in the Hip Hop section on iTunes and is gaining favorable impressions from the fans. Fans have stepped up and taken their conversations to the social networks to show their support. As you can see from the feedback so far, this is a unique release.

What started out as a free mixtape several weeks ago that was available for download on XXLmag.com quickly turned into a highly-anticipated release within weeks afterward. Tech and Strange Music heard the fans on the forums and social networks voicing suggestions for a version of Bad Season that had a higher sound quality, and the good folks at Strange found a way to make it happen, and more impressively, made it happen for the fans within a couple weeks after hearing the concerns. Now we are exactly one month since the XXL mixtape release date and fans are rushing to iTunes to hear the original tracks in higher sound quality and listening to the four new tracks included in this release. The fans are ecstatic to say the least! Within an hour of Tech posting an update on his Facebook, Bad Season soared from #10 to #8 on the iTunes charts. Now (at the time of this post), Bad Season is sitting comfortably at #5 on iTunes. Will it move higher in the charts this week? Probably, especially when you consider the amount of feedback Bad Season has started within 12 hours of it being available for download on iTunes.
