Tech N9ne supplied the best live show in hip hop for the independent hip hop festival of the year: Paid Dues Festival 2013.

The high-flying duo CES Cru also got a chance to shine on stage and show those in attendance why people are calling them the future of Strange Music.

Much to be expected from a gathering of hip hop’s finest, a lot of the action occurred behind the scenes and off the stage.

We were able to get ahold of the Strange Music general during his busy recording schedule to get his thoughts on the monumental album about to drop: Brotha Lynch Hung’s Mannibalector, the final piece to the Coathanga Strangla trilogy.

People are going to love it because it’s all three of us doing what we do.

On Mannibalector…

I stole the CD from Strange Music and listened to it. I’ve been bangin’ it. I’ve heard songs on there that I had never heard like “Sweeney Todd” and “Disappeared” that I really dig. There’s a lot of beautiful music on there. It’s really serial killer-ish this time and so are the videos.

On the shocking ending of Mannibalector…

Humongous, that’s all I’m going to say. I can’t even say. It’s a twist (laughs). I’m about to say it and I don’t want to say it. Don’t do me like that man. People are going to love it. If you love that dark shit, ooooh, this is the pinnacle of it. The songs are – I can’t really say what I wanna say because I’ll get in trouble for it.

On his recreational activities while listening to Mannibalector…

I just know I’m having sex to the serial killer music and I love it.

The infection is out and there’s no stopping it. E-40′s ghoulish collaboration with Tech N9ne and Brotha Lynch Hung gets its highly anticipated official music video and no one survives this one!

“Zombie” from E-40′s The Block Brochure: Welcome To The Soil 2 finds the three emcees in the middle of a zombie invasion as teens are hunted and ripped apart by flesh-eating creatures back from the grave. With mayhem all around, what becomes of Tech N9ne?

Tech N9ne Debuts ‘My Favorite’ On Shade 45 [Social]

Following the release of the official tracklist to Welcome To Strangeland, Tech N9ne made a surprise appearance on Shade 45′s The All Out Show with Rude Jude and Lord Sear.

Tech N9ne stopped by the show to conduct an interview and answer questions from callers. While at the station, Tech also debuted ”My Favorite” featuring Brotha Lynch Hung and Prozak. Minutes after the new track was played, fans began buzzing on Twitter about Tech’s appearance on the show. All of the recent news surrounding Welcome To Strangeland has certainly stirred up the Strange Music world. Could fans expect another single from Welcome To Strangeland? Stay tuned for more!

Tech N9ne Confirms Lynch And Prozak On ‘Welcome To Strangeland’ [Social]

Since Tech N9ne Collabos Welcome To Strangeland was first announced, rumors have been swirling as to who would make the final cut on the album.

Said to be a Collabos album made up of only Strange Music artists and affiliates, Welcome To Strangeland has been extremely anticipated. Recently, Tech N9ne spent some time on Twitter speaking to the fans. During one of those exchanges, Tech N9ne actually confirmed that Brotha Lynch Hung and Prozak will both appear together on a track titled “My Favorite”. Known for their graphic and horror inspired lyrics, Brotha Lynch Hung and Prozak are an arguably perfect pair. At one point, the two even discussed a side project called The Donner Party. It looks as though their chemistry is not lost on Tech N9ne, who has now thrown the two MCs into the Strangeland mix.

For the second part of his epic hip hop horror saga, Coathanga Strangla, Brotha Lynch Hung featured The King of Darkness himself on two of the tracks to explore the darker corners of the soul. Both songs feature Tech on the last verse: “ICU” a spooky and moodier Tech N9ne with a modulating volume and cadence, boasting an incredibly intricate rhyme scheme (what else would you expect?). “Takin’ Online Orders” features a Tech N9ne let out of his cage, ripping a beat to pieces in triple time, undoubtedly rising to the challenge of sharing the spot with an MC as elite and intricate as Brotha Lynch Hung.

Brotha Lynch Hung Featuring Tech N9ne ‘Takin Online Orders’ [Song]

Stomping through the severed limbs and sick psychosis of Coathanga Strangla, “Takin Online Orders” grabs listeners by the throat and never lets up on its grip. The heavy and slow horns lurch in, bringing with them the ominous presence of Lynch and Tech N9ne. Working like a pair of lyrical assassins, Tech and Lynch both burst out in speedy yet precise flows.Tech turns it up a few notches for his verse though, as he jumps right in following the hook with an accelerated, triple-time flow (listen to “Welcome to The Midwest” for another example) that strikes like a hail of bullets. Tech hypnotically flows:

I cannot contain what is insane within this brain nigga
neva was a mundane, but I was in pain, fuck it then came liqua

Tech N9ne Featured On Brotha Lynch Hung – ‘ICU’ [Song]

Fresh off Coathanga Strangla, “ICU” once again brings Tech N9ne and Brotha Lynch Hung together for one hell of a ride. The ghoulish production strikes listeners like the notes from a haunted music box with some wicked drums to match. Lynch pulls no punches on his first verse, with quite arguably his most barbaric flow yet. Murder, necrophilia, and all sorts of illegal activity power this track well before the first verse is even over! Just when it couldn’t possibly get any more obscene, Tech N9ne jumps in and drops a clean, but vicious verse. Switching between his smooth flow and choppy delivery, Tech creates another layer of music over the production with his voice. With revenge on his mind, Tech flows:

Tech N9ne INTERVIEWS Brotha Lynch Hung In Murderdog Magazine

Usual roles were reversed as Tech N9ne sat down to interview Brotha Lynch Hung for a feature in Murderdog magazine. Being that Tech and Lynch are label-mates and OGs of the rap game, the interview had a very natural and conversational tone to it, as Tech would reveal parts of himself just as much as Lynch. The two legendary MCs reminisce about the old-school days when they were both b-boy dancers, muse over their ability to cope with negative emotions, and even delve into a bizarre tangent of what serial killers they would compare themselves to.
