Tech N9ne: ‘I Don’t Believe In Writer’s Block. Life Inspires Me’ [Interview]
Since his days of listening to the likes of LL Cool J and Public Enemy, Tech N9ne knew that to succeed in music, he had to be different. Decades later, the face-painted emcee known for his rapid-fire delivery is enjoying the rewards of staying true to himself.
From growing up with family and music to his days of being labeled a “devil worshiper”, Tech explained how his earliest experiences shaped him to be the unique emcee he is today.
On the subject of writing, Tech discussed his inspiration for “The Noose”:
“‘Some soldiers didn’t have arms…from being blown off, and it was like, ‘Wow, they’re over there fighting for us to be here doing this,’ said the rapper. ‘That’s why I don’t believe in writer’s block. Life inspires me. If you just interact with people they’ll give it to you every time’”
