Tech N9ne Lands #3 On Woody Black’s Top 10 Emcees Of 2011
Collaborations with the likes of Lil Wayne, Busta Rhymes, and T-Pain are just a few of the major highlights for Tech N9ne in 2011. Following a #4 Billboard charting album with All 6′s And 7′s, Tech N9ne struck back with Welcome To Strangeland, living up to the prediction that 2011 was his year.
As more and more top 10 lists come out, Tech N9ne continues to make his presence felt. Having already been named Emcee Of The Year by HipHopDX, Tech makes an appearance on Woody Black’s Top 10 Emcees of 2011 for SayZilla.com. Ranking at #3 among names like Busta Rhymes, Kendrick Lamar, and Saigon, Tech N9ne’s banner year is given the spotlight with a few words from Woody Black:
“It’s been a long time coming for this rapid Kansas City spitter to be noticed by the masses. After making much noise in the underground for years, Tech Ninna got the taste of being above ground in 2011. Folks who never heard of Tech N9ne got a rude awakening when they accidentally heard him on Lil Wayne’s ‘Interlude’ (which I do give Weezy props for, although Tech was capable for murderin’ him on his own ish). But don’t get it twisted, Tech N9ne and Strange Music are getting their well-deserved recognition. But don’t think that equals N9ne selling out, unless you mean that’s when he’s selling out shows. He still represents being strange, being wild, and being himself, now matter how famous he gets. It’s like the words of De La Soul, ‘He might blow up, but he won’t go…’ “
Proving to be a major force in the music industry, Tech N9ne is finishing off strong in 2011 and is positioned to do even better in the new year, leaving no stone unturned on his path to God status.
