he means “in a rut” because when he released K.O.D. he was in a dark place, seeking light and help, now that things started to get light, he started to focus on different points in his music to make it amazing, now instead of asking for help, he thanks his mother and family for alwasy being there.
if i could wasnt dissapointing it was a tottally different stance from the album it has more of a K.A.B.O.S.H. feel to it

I don’t like this article because it claims that Tech was “in a bit of a rut.” I don’t own a tech album that isn’t great (I own all of them). Also, it says it’s his best since Killer. Killer was great but K.O.D. is a masterpiece. It’s like a great horror film in music form. I think that K.O.D. is pieced together better than any of his other albums. The only thing I agree with in this article is that “If I Could” is disappointing.
